Before...               After...

● The new update includes removing a wall that had served no true useable purpose since they had built the house years earlier. Using a wall of full height cabinets created stability to the “free” standing wall that divides the vaulted ceiling living area and the kitchen.

● The original footprint was used, however taller cabinets gives more storage and makes the wall more proportionate. Raising the center cabinets creates a point of interest. The use of deep drawer units assures that plenty of storage. Separate cook-top, oven and microwave are more convenient for the homeowners.

● The built-in look of the refrigerator is achieved by wrapping it in cabinetry. The tall pantry to the left of the refrigerator opens from both sides. The deep drawers are for “catch-alls” that had previously been an eyesore. The glass door cabinet creates a home for family heirlooms.

● Custom built Heirloom Woodworks™ hickory cabinets were stained to co- ordinate with the trim and doors in the traditional home. The carefree solid surface countertop with integrated stainless steel sink and brushed nickel faucet compliments the appliances and continues the custom look. The brushed nickel hardware for the cabinets adds to this scheme as well without over-powering the beautiful look of the wood.
